In modular scaffold systems, generally a ringlock (Allround), a truss ledger (also known as a double ledger or bridging ledger) is a horizontal member that has reinforcing features.
Unlike a standard single-tube ledger, a truss ledger has a second reinforcing tube (truss web) underneath the main horizontal bar. By doing this, a truss ledger can carry much larger loads and provide longer spans, with much less deflection.

More Weight/Load Capacity
This type of beam is classified as heavy-duty and will carry an entire scaffold deck or plank across an area where it is required to support a higher weight (such as in cases of material storage). -
Bridging Gaps
This type of beam can be installed to span wider spaces in a scaffolding system (located in "bridging bays") where there is no ledger available to support that span (such as a doorway, vehicle access point, or area where machinery is located).
